R. SCOTT REID
R. Scott Reid started in the film business as a private investor providing debt, finishing funds and equity investment to various film projects starting in 2005. He quickly moved from Financier to the Producer role producing his first picture in 2007, with the film “When a Man Falls in the Forrest” which starred Sharron Stone, Timothy Hutton and Dylan Baker which premiered in the prestigious competition division at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival where it was nominated for the Golden Bear award.
Since that time, he has Produced or Executive Produced 16 films including: Cover – which secured the official endorsement of the NAACP, Battle in Seattle, starring Academy award winning actress Charlize Theron and which was selected as the opening premier night film of the Toronto Film Festival and Numb an official selection of the Tribeca film Festival. Each of Reid’s films have secured both Domestic and International distribution deals and many have premiered at, or been an official selection screening at the major film festivals and markets including Berlin, Cannes, South by Southwest, Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca and others.
He has cast and worked with an impressively long list of Academy Award winners and nominated actors including, Charlize Theron, Keanu Reeves, Vivica Fox, Woody Harrelson, Channing Tatum, Michelle Rodriguez, Sharon Stone, Jennifer Carpenter, Dylan Baker, Timothy Hutton, Michelle Rodriguez, Mary Steenburgen, Kim Basinger, Aunjanne Ells, Rumer Willis, Lou Gossett Jr. , Ray Liotta, Mathew Perry, Denise Richards, Pamela Anderson, Rob Schneider and many others.
In addition to film production Scott has produced soundtracks and music scores for an additional 4 films.
